Do You Have a Creative Mum?

Writer's picture: Kirsten RobinsonKirsten Robinson

As a mum myself, I know just how easy it is to "lose yourself" when you first become a Mum. You're so busy taking care of ALL of the things for the family that you forget that you have needs and wants too.

Many Mum's turn to some sort of art/craft activity post baby to give them a self-care outlet away from all that comes with being a Mum. Some of these women have never considered themselves to be creative even before kids which brings a whole new learning curve for them. It's exciting, yet daunting and not to mention the price that that comes with most crafts...

For me, I consider myself lucky that I was creative before having children. I had periods of time post partum where looking at my cake and cookie decorating tools made me feel physically ill. I didn't have the brain space or the physical time to even dream of being creative. Slowly but surely though, those creative juices started flowing after each baby and I was able to start dabbling in my art of cake decorating again.

This Mother's Day, I want to give to your Mum something that is just for her. A new experience maybe or perhaps a dream she has had for a long time.

I am offering one lucky Mum, hopefully YOUR Mum, a 2 hour one-on-one session with me where she will get to play with my tools and create some of her own edible artwork in the form of cookies.

I have been a qualified Pastry Chef, experienced Wedding Cake Decorator and now Sugar Cookie Artist for the past 18 years so I have a lot of knowledge and hands on experience that I love to share.
